First off a HUGE thank you to everyone who wrote in with advice for Sophie and I last week about our little property problem.

We were both very humbled by the response. Please consider yourselves virtually high-fived/hugged/hand-shaken (delete where appropriate).

Just to give you an update on that…

In the end we decided to cut out the middlemen and chat to the vendors ourselves.

They were a really sound couple and we agreed on a price reduction which we all felt comfortable with, so we’re relieved that we stuck to our guns.

There was slightly hairy moment when their little 2 year old boy did a poo mid negotiation that was so ferocious and potent it nearly knocked everyone out. (Unbelievably Sophie accused me of farting at this point until his mum pointed out what had happened!)

Thankfully the air cleared and we came to an agreement. I think we owe the little fellow a debt, he probably sped the process up.

With a bit of luck we’ll be exchanging tomorrow, so fingers crossed.
