Review: The Longshot King – Richard Smith
The Longshot King from Richard Smith is a tipping service that focuses on picking out long-shot (or long odds) horse racing winners.
I’ve been wanting to get a tester on this service for some time now for a number of reasons:
1) The Longshot King has had cracking feedback from members (including a number of Insider’s Edge readers) to date. This is a rare thing indeed these days and it seems Richard’s selections have performed extremely well over the long term.
2) You can start with just £2 stakes so it’s very accessible. That means that unlike a lot of services (whether they be gambling or trading) you can start with a small starting bank.
3) You don’t need to set aside a lot of time for this one and there are no funny staking plans to mess about with. In fact it should take you no more than around 5 minutes a day to place selections.
I’ve not had cause to have much contact with Richard Smith, the guy behind Longshot King, as yet save to get change the email address I registered for the service. His response was quick and polite so no complaints there. Richard is often available on Skype as well which makes a nice change from some of the more elusive tipsters out there who melt away at the first sign of a problem!
One thing to bear in mind…
As Richard states quite clearly on his site, there are more losing tips than winning tips (simply because these are long shots). However, you only need a few winners coming in at 16/1 or 20/1 in a month and you’ll be in profit (and take a look at his track record because over the year the service has been substantially in profit). However this does mean that you have to be patient at times as you can experience a string of losers before hitting a winner.
I’ll be reporting back with findings over the coming weeks.
Definitely one to watch. You can see full details here:
