How to find the lowest petrol prices in your area
Research shows that we’re in the top three most expensive countries in the world for fuel. We pay, on average, of 135p per litre thanks to hefty taxation.
There are a few things you can do to help ensure you get the best deal. First off you can use reward cards and look out for special discounts, particularly with supermarket’s (who’ll often give you a preferential rate if you shop with them first).
It’s also worth checking out this nifty little petrol price checker:
You simply tap in the area (or your postcode) and it’ll tell you where the cheapest petrol stations are. You do have to register with the site, but it’s free and only takes a sec.
I was in Cardiff last weekend for a wedding and this website helped us find the best deals nearby, potentially saving us as much as 8p a litre.
